Hosted by  YEC Speakers Member Leader Arel Moodie

Have you ever wanted to know what are the Revenue & Lead Sources for other speakers in the industry? What are the activities that most speakers spend time on that yield little results vs what are the activities that actually generate business? What are other people charging and what are people most often getting paid?

Your YEC Member Leader Arel Moodie lead this month's discussion, sharing insider knowledge on the exciting re-opening of the world and what it means for the speaking business.

Key Insights:

  • Data shows the main source of anxiety for speakers is marketing and sales.
  • Speakers state that they receive 36% of bookings 3-6 months in advance.
  • Where does work come from?  70% of speaking opportunities come from referrals which 54% report LinkedIn connections and 39% find business through social media in general.  The key to growing business is getting the right people to see you speak.
